Music Monday – Movie Edition

Our kids are old enough now to sit through movies that are not just animated and/or action-packed.  We have begun introducing them to older movies, some classics, some cult-classics, some musical, some not.  This past week, we watched Singing’ in the Rain and The Music Man.  Here are a few clips from those movies.  Both of these I would easily put in the classic category.

Singin’ in the Rain (1952)

Singin’ in the Rain sung by Gene Kelly
Good Morning sung by Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor
Broadway Melody ballet  danced by Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse

The Music Man (1962)

Ya Got Trouble sung by Robert Preston
Till There Was You sung by Shirley Jones
Barbershop Quartet sung by Buffalo Bills
